WELL done to Harish Aggarwal, who has been appointed as national conference and events manager for serviced office provider Your Space.
Readers may remember Mr Aggarwal, below, in one of his previous incarnations as licensee of the Velvet Lounge bar, in Liverpool city centre.
Magistrates closed down the venue in 2005 after an appeal by Merseyside Police who said it had become a meeting place for gangsters.
The court heard that Mr Aggarwal was rarely seen at the bar despite being its licensee.
Back in 2004, Mr Aggar- wal was the manager of the Marquee Bar & Restaurant, in Victoria Street.
He was described in an article at the time as being one of Liverpool’s “hip set” and was better known among his trendy friends as simply “H”.
LIVERPOOL Hope University has released the keynote speakers programme for The Big Hope.
On June 6, the guest speaker will be Bryan Sanderson, who is described as the former chairman of Standard Chartered Bank.
Between October last year and February this year, Mr Sanderson was also chairman of Northern Rock.

A MARKETING company called Clear Contact last night held a launch party at its office in Church Street, in Liverpool.
One guest was surprised by the invited to the event.
“I had a look on their website,” said our source. “And it says that Clear Contact opened up in Liverpool in 2004.”
