COUTTS & Co has appointed Donna Okell as private banker to its Liverpool team to advise the group’s growing client base in the region. Ms Okell, who spent two years as an investor communications director in London, will focus on the Chester and South Cheshire market.
CIVIL and structural engineers Sutcliffe has continued its expansion with the appointment of three new recruits. Julia Webb joins Sutcliffe’s environmental and site investigations team from MWH in Warrington as senior geo-environmentalist. University of Liverpool graduate David Bowen joins as graduate environmentalist, while Barry Wilson joins as a graduate engineer from John Moores University.
LANDSCAPING, arboriculture and environmental works company UPM Tilhill has opened a new office at Fearnhead, in Warrington. The team includes contract managers Guy Crowther and Paul Manley, right, and est- imating manager Peter Clark. The new office will serve UPM Tilhill’s clients across Merseyside, Cheshire, and the North West and will carry out landscap- ing, site clearance, tree surgery and conservation.
LAW firm Barnetts Solicitors, of Southport, is creating a new wills and probate department. The firm, best known for conveyancing, is opening the department following a steady increase in demand for will drafting, probate services and power of att- orney agreements. Partner Tony Swift and Lesley Gill, 26, from Liver- pool, will lead the department. Ms Gill joined the firm in 2006 as a graduate assistant in conveyancing.
