Auctions top £20m

THE Venmore Partnership has broken through the £20m mark for its first four auctions of 2007.

The latest auction in Liverpool saw sales of more than £5m, adding to sales of £15m from the two previous packed auctions in the city and the firm’s first ever Wirral auction.

The star lot in the latest auction – which attracted more than 400 people – was a detached bungalow in Stocks Lane, Penketh, which had a guide price of £200,000 but ended up selling for £301,000.
