Popular business park almost full

JOINT agents Irving Rice and Hitchcock Wright have secured three more lettings for Orbit Developments at Aintree Racecourse Retail and Business Park.

The latest deals mean the 300,000 sq ft industrial estate is close to being fully let, although there are still one or two opportunities still available.

New tenants Sefton Primary Care Trust (PCT), Grass Roots International and Eddie Stobart have taken a total of nearly 50,000 sq ft of space at the park, which overlooks the famous racecourse.

Sefton PCT, which has taken a brand new unit, has moved from Bootle, while Grass Roots International, which designs and makes greeting cards, has moved from Maghull.

Distribution company Eddie Stobart has set up a new operation at Aintree to meet the needs of a new client.

Sefton PCT operational manager Nicky Ore said: "The location of the Aintree site is perfect for us in terms of its great road, rail and air transport links. We were impressed with the new build facility and given Orbit could adapt the site for us, this complete solution meant the deal was completed quickly, and to the high standards and specification we set the Orbit team."

Dennis Dwyer, Orbit divisional director for Merseyside, added: "At Orbit we can deal with everything in house from managing the legal process through to final fit out which enables us to accommodate end user requirements with speed and efficiency.

"Many developers claim to offer this full service but few actually deliver it."

Mark Coulthurst, a partner with Irving Rice, said: "Aintree Racecourse and Retail and Business Park has had an exceptional 2007 and these latest lettings reflect its continuing popularity."
