Phase one will comprise of 10 units, while phase two will deliver the other 11. Sizes will range from 3,500 sq ft up to 100,000 sq ft. It is due to be complete in May.

The site was acquired in January 2007 from the previous occupiers Microtherm. Chris Hughes, property and marketing director at Spencer Holdings said: “It’s always been our intention to redevelop the site. Now that we have planning consent work is under way which will create substantial benefits for the immediate area.

“The accommodation will offer an excellent variety of unit sizes on a site that should suit a wide range and type of occupiers. In terms of Spencer’s plans for the year this represents another healthy step towards our targets.”

Phase two will be delivered late June or early July.
