MORE than half the space in a new business centre in Chester has been let, just weeks after it was officially opened.
Evans Business Centre, Chester, was launched by MP Christine Russell and is designed to encourage the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the city.
Created by Evans Easyspace, which specialises in creating workspace networks for small and growing businesses, the centre has a total of 43 offices and 23 workshops units and, once fully occupied, will provide jobs for more than 250 people.
The centre is proving highly popular with the local business community and is currently almost 60% let. Ms Russell said: “The encouragement of entrepreneurship is vital to the local economy here, and Evans Easyspace provides the right kind of business space to support start-up and developing businesses and offers valuable opportunities for local people.
“Evans Business Centre will contribute to Chester’s economic development, creating jobs in companies which establish their business here, and I wish them all a very successful future.”
