£2,3m deal for mixed development

A MIXED shops and office development in Widnes has changed hands in a £2.3m deal.

Simms Cross, a 20,177 sq ft scheme built by Widnes Regeneration has been sold to the Northern Trust Group.

Widnes Regeneration is a joint venture between St Modwen Properties and Halton Council. St Modwen’s development manager Richard Baker said: “The sale clearly demonstrates investors are willing to invest in Widnes.

“Most of what has happened in Widnes town centre over the last decade is due to the activities of Widnes Regeneration.”
