High hopes as town’s new offices scheme launched

A NEW office scheme has been launched at Whitemoss Business Park, in Skelmersdale.

Maple Court comprises 25,000 sq ft and represents an opportunity for both indigenous Skelmersdale occupiers and those companies looking to relocate to the town.

Andrew Hine, of developers Métier, said: “Skelmersdale has seen little or no speculative office development in recent years.

“We identified at an early stage the potential of the location and we are delighted with the end result. Maple Court is a superb environment for a variety of occupiers.”

Available either to purchase or to let, the first phase of the development provides self-contained buildings ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 sq ft.

Designed by architects Leach Rhodes Walker, the scheme was constructed by Skelmersdale-based CPUK.

More than 70% of the development has already been sold. Three units are still available for sale or to lease from 1,000 to 4,000 sq ft.

Chris Cheap, director of the offices’ team at GVA Grimley, joint agents with WHR, said: “Maple Court has out-performed other North West locations due to the superb quality of the product on offer and the unrivalled accessibility.”

The second phase of Maple Court is for 25,000 sqft of office development and could house bespoke requirements from larger occupiers on a design and build basis.
