Budget airline Ryanair sees June passenger traffic rise by 19%

Liverpool’s biggest airline Ryanair says it carried 5.17m passengers last month, 19% up on last year.

The Dublin-based carrier says its load factor - a measure of how full its planes are - was 1% down at 84%.

Ryanair operates more than 40 routes out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
