Work starts on business park

WORK has begun on the first phase of development of a new business park in north Liverpool.

Developer St Modwen is creating more than 50,000 sq ft of speculative light industrial space at the park in Gillmoss which has already made headlines for its green credentials.

Four units, two of 14,000 sq ft and two of 12,000 sq ft, are being built on the former GEC and Sugarbrook sites and eventually the 29-hectare scheme could house more than 300,000 sq ft of serviced development plots, attracting as many as 1,535 new jobs.

The start of work on Stonebridge Park’s first buildings follows the completion of infrastructure work by Liverpool Land Development Company.
