PR firm backing AFC Liverpool

NEW non-league football club AFC Liverpool is receiving PR and marketing support from city agency October Communications while it bids to win sponsors and raise its profile in the business community.

The Mathew Street-based agency has agreed to work for the Vodkat League Division One club on a pro bono basis while it is still finding its feet.

The club was set up to provide an independent low-cost alternative to Premiership football while encouraging fans to remain within the Liverpool FC “family”. It has won the backing of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez and Reds legend Kenny Dalglish.

October director Jon Egan, himself a Liverpool fan, said: “We think AFC Liverpool’s aims are extremely laudable.”

AFC Liverpool chairman Alun Parry said: “We are delighted to be working with such a respected agency and deeply appreciate their support.”
