GORDON CIPRIANI has just been elected president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)’s Liverpool Members’ Network. Mr Cipriani has been a financial accountant at Hayes and Finch since January, 2005. Before that, he spent three years as commercial revenue manager at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
FINANCE firm Pricewaterhouse-Coopers has promoted Joanne Hughes, top, and Sarah Godbold, right, to manager level at its Liverpool office. Ms Hughes, who joined PWC as a graduate in 2003, has a role on the Audit Implementation Network and is responsible for spreading best practice principles in the North West offices. Ms Godbold, who also joined PWC in 2003 after graduating from Liverpool University, works with a variety of clients in sectors including housebuilding, chemicals, and manufacturing.
LAW firm Mace & Jones has appointed two new partners to its dispute resolution department. Dominic Vincent, 40, joins the firm as a corporate recovery and insolvency specialist. He has worked at Halliwells, Hammonds and Carrick Read Insolvency and plans to grow the Mace & Jones insolvency practice in the firm’s Manchester, Liverpool and Knutsford offices. Simon Murphy, 35, joins as a property litigator. He has worked for national and North West firms including Beachcrofts and Mills and Reeve.
CLARE BATES has joined Bluecoat-based Agent Marketing as public relations assistant. Ms Bates, who has a degree in inter- national marketing, has two years’ experience in both client and agency-side PR teams. Agent was founded in 2006 by Paul Corcoran, Wayne Malcolm and Jayne Moore.
