Hankinson paints the town red after UK standards accolade

WIRRAL-BASED painting contractor Hankinson Group has become the first in the UK to be accredited for a Highways Agency standard.

The scheme is for the corrosion protection of ferrous materials, such as steel highways structures, by industrial paint coating.

Hankinson Group, which employs more than 200 people and has a turnover of £10m, has previously painted the Thelwall Viaduct and Conwy Bridge.

Chief executive Stephen Hankinson said:“We are very proud to be the first painting contractor to achieve this quality standard, and we are certain the team at Hankinson will continue to set the industry standard.”
