Restaurants making a loss

THE owner of Piccolino and the Restaurant Bar & Grill has suffered further losses.

Individual Restaurant Company, which operates 31 venues, including Liverpool, posted losses of £83,000 in the first half of 2008.

Chief executive Steven Walker said the results were “creditable”, given the “testing times” facing the sector, in particular waning consumer confidence and rising costs.

“Both Piccolino and Restaurant Bar & Grill continue to perform resiliently,” he said.
