PR brief for Red Hot book

LIFESTYLE marketing agency Think Publicity has won the worldwide PR brief for a new book about funk-rock titans Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Me and My Friends: Red Hot Chili Peppers is a compilation of exclusive photographs and backstage stories from the band’s photographer and tour companion, Tony Woolliscroft.

Publisher Trinity Mirror North West, which also publishes the Daily Post, has recruited Liverpool-based Think to carry out guerrilla and viral marketing for the book.

Agency director Phil Nixon said: “Working on a project about such a significant band has allowed us to be highly creative with our strategy and, working alongside Trinity Mirror’s own in-house marketing team, produce a targeted and integrated campaign.”

The book will be released on October 24 and be available from www.redhotchili peppers-book.com and at book shops, priced £14.99.
