RECRUITMENT company The Business Connection (TBC) plans to open ten new branches throughout the North West under a credit crunch-defying expansion plan.
The commercial recruitment agency is tomorrow opening its first Liverpool branch and is planning to open more next year in locations including Warring- ton, Crewe and Manchester.
TBC was founded 20 years ago by Kirsty Craig and specialises in the office staffing, contact centre and management sectors. Its Chester clients include financial services firms MBNA and M&S Money.
Managing director Ms Craig said the Liverpool market offered a “crucial growth opportunity” for her business even in current trading conditions.
She said: “Reacting to the significant growth we have seen in Liverpool’s commercial sector was paramount to us.
“We have spoken to and worked with many Liverpool-based employers and, even in these highly competitive times, we have found that people trust us to perform for them and would rather invest in that service than make short-term savings. This is an exciting opportunity for our experienced senior management team to develop a superior regional recruitment service for Liverpool and we’re dedicated to emulating our accomplished business model and local success across Merseyside.”
The Liverpool office will host a team of five consultants, headed by operations director Rachel Hough, who said: “We’re reacting to recent market developments by providing tailor-made solutions and consultations specialising in temp recruitment.
“Over the next 12 months, we will be building on our successful local reputation of providing the best standard of commercial temporary recruitment to spearhead an ambitious regional expansion programme throughout the North West starting in Merseyside.
“Expanding will increase our pool of candidates across the region massively, which will be a great benefit to our clients, and will help provide Liverpool job-seekers with a greater choice of job vacancies.”
