Healthy boost for Medicash

HEALTHCARE cash plan provider Medicash has shown it is in good health after securing two major new contracts.

The Liverpool-based company is to be the sole provider of healthcare benefits for The Big Lottery Fund, which has 950 employees, and container shipping company CMA CGM, which employs nearly 400 people in the UK.

Medicash chief executive Sue Weir said: “In times where households are tightening their belts, regular dental and optical check-ups can be one of the first things to fall by the wayside.

“Healthcare cash plans provide a cost-effective way for employers to support workforce well-being and by encouraging employees to develop a preventative approach to their health, employers ultimately benefit from reduced sickness absenteeism.”

Medicash is a not-for-profit organisation which offers health plans to companies and individuals.
