ENGINEERING consultant WS Atkins says its profits will be at the top end of market hopes after its performance was boosted by a series of contract wins.
Recent deals landed by the Surrey-based group include a major road maintenance deal in East Anglia and a design contract for Glasgow’s M74 motorway.
Analysts expecting pre-tax profits of between £86m and £92m for the year to March 31 marked up forecasts after Atkins’ upbeat comments.
Shares in the firm were almost 2% higher after the group added it was confident of good progress during the current year.
